Zach Hunter

Is the Site Manager at Alchemist Events at Empress Tavern, bringing nearly three decades of hospitality experience that began in Sacramento in 1995. After starting his career as a server in both fine dining and casual fine dining environments, Zach found his professional home in restaurant leadership, serving as Assistant General Manager at Zinfandel Grille in Folsom and later at Bistro 33 in Davis.


Zach’s career took him to Lake Tahoe, where he led dinner service at the flagship restaurant of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, deepening his expertise in luxury and anticipatory service. He later joined the girl & the fig, applying his leadership skills in a high-volume fine dining setting. In 2020, Zach returned to Sacramento to serve as General Manager for multiple locations within the Paragary Restaurant Group, before joining the Alchemist Events team in 2025.


In addition to his operational leadership, Zach is deeply committed to mentorship. Through Alchemist Community Development Corporation’s partnership with Juma Ventures, he takes pride in guiding and supporting young adults as they build skills, confidence, and pathways to meaningful careers in hospitality. Zach is grateful to play a role in their growth - both professionally and personally - each day.
